    3. movement development while strengthening our students’ English. We pride ourselves on the professionalism and care
    4. Joy of Dance classes are developed with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, and creative
    5. needs of each age group. Classes integrate aspects of several early childhood educational methods such
    6. as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, RIE, and what Founder/Director Joy Voelker refers to as “The Mr.
    7. Rogers Approach.” The movement material in class draw inspiration from creative movement, ballet, contemporary, jazz,
    8. hip-hop, tap, music, improvisation, and composition using all genres of music.
    9. This is what we at Joy of Dance call Dance Exploration.
    10. Founder Joy Voelker developed her approach to early childhood dance during her 10+ years as
    11. a dance educator. Her knowledge and values form the basis for all the classes.
